If you are looking for the best place to get a great sushi for a reasonable price, you´re on the right spot. We are obsessed with sushi and so are many of our local connections. Even though it might seem there are many sushi places in town, it is pretty difficult to find one with a good “price / performance ratio”. Here are our choices:
Planet sushi – rather “western-style” sushi but with very tasty signature maki rolls. Philadelphia chic and Makifornia dream are our favorite choices, as well as their hot “Hotto maki”. You can order a cocktail from the next door´s TGI Friday after your “Domino” chocolate maki roll. Located in Prague 5, right by the Andel metro station (Nardrazni 110).
Sakura – first choice of most of the sushi lovers on our “local connections” list. Always very fresh sushi, good soups and also noodles. Tends to be little over-priced but if you come during the lunch hours, you´ll get a great deal. Located in Prague 6, right by Kulatak (a big roundabout). Address: Namesti svobody 1, Metro: Dejvicka. Myiabi – The owner lived in Japan for a long time, which is probably the reason why Myiabi has not only very authentic sushi but also atmosphere, sometimes even with geisha entertaining the guests. Probably the only one in Prague that has Tatami (yes, you can take your shoes off and sit on the ground…). Close to the Charles square / Karlove namesti. Address: Navratilova 10, Tram: Vodickova. Zebra – This Asian noodle bar offers also pretty interesting take on sushi. Nice chic atmosphere, located close to the Wenceslav square.
Sushi time – Lazy to get out of your hotel room when in Prague? Sushi time offers great delivery of sushi seven days a week. Fresh and usually within an hour. They also run a small bistro on Sokolovská street 21. Web: sushitime.cz, Phone: +420-725 972 795
Asia Fast Food Binh Minh – If you are a sushi addict and need to get your “dose” really often without getting broke, this place is the right choice. It is ran by Vietnamese family and sushi here is simple, but always fresh and quick. Very well located at Strossmayerovo namesti. Dukelskych Hrdinu 27, Prague 7 (http://goo.gl/maps/sH5lP)
Tamda – Very budget-friendly alternative with descent sushi. Don´t get daunt by the restaurant´s interior; soups and sushi are very good here. And also really cheap. Located close to the square (and subway) Jiřího z Poděbrad. Perunova 13, Prague 3 (http://goo.gl/maps/TMKoz)
